PATH's Malaria, Neglected Tropical Diseases program is a leader in the effort to end malaria illnesses and deaths, refines and develops tools and approaches, invests in national programs, and builds data to empower national governments to pursue malaria elimination.
PATH has unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of new tools and strategies for malaria elimination and has the potential to become an acknowledged leader in accelerating efforts towards malaria elimination and global eradication. PATH’s Center for Malaria Control and Elimination (CMCE) workings with PATH staff and strategic partners to coordinate expertise and programming and maximize our collective impact toward malaria elimination.
PATH seeks a Driver for the USG-funded Reaching every at-risk community and household with malaria services (REACH Malaria) global project. REACH aims to provide implementation support services and technical assistance to countries to accelerate progress in comprehensive delivery of facility and community-based malaria services, including malaria case management, prevention of malaria in pregnancy (MiP), seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC), health systems strengthening, data collection and use for service delivery, and other malaria prevention interventions.
The Driver will report to the Finance and Administrative Manager and will be responsible for transporting project staff, project counterparts, consultants and other visitors to project sites, workshops/meetings, and other events. The Driver will also perform or schedule maintenance services and ensure that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
Responsibilities:
Transporting project staff, project counterparts, consultants and other visitors to project sites, workshops/meetings, and various events in the area.
Ensuring the safety of passengers by courteously reminding them of safety practices while in the vehicle.
Performing or scheduling maintenance services and ensuring that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
Following up with vehicle maintenance regulations and licenses and making recommendations to the Finance and Admin Manager for necessary actions.
Reporting suspected vehicle malfunctions or issues.
Ensuring that vehicles have adequate fuel at all times, using the office account.
Maintaining the vehicle/driver’s logbook.
Updating all vehicle documents and ensuring vehicles have valid insurance.
Running project office errands, such as document delivery, mailing, banking, customs clearance, bill payments, shopping for office supplies, etc., as requested.
Ensuring that office vehicles are driven per local traffic laws and regulations as well as organization’s vehicle policies.
